WWE Raw was coming off the biggest event in the WWE, WrestleMania 26. They had a pretty good main event, with an even better farewell speech from Shawn Michaels. On the other side TNA Impact had RVD, Jeff Hardy, and Eric Young taking on The Wolfpac, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Syxx-Pac in a steel cage match.
I clearly thought that WWE Raw was more entertaining then Impact. Impact was very dull for the most part. Excluding the Mr. Anderson and Kurt Angle promo and the Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles match. Otherwise it was forgettable. WWE Raw on the otherhand started off hot with Batista and John Cena, then having Jack Swagger run in and what looked liked he would cash in his briefcase, but he ended up not doing so.
I don't get some of the angles that TNA were trying to do on Impact. They had the bi-sexual Orlando Jordan coming down from the rafters and then slithering over to a talk show type set. That had no right being on TV. Disgusting. TNA also showed a clip of Samoa Joe. I am sure he will be returning soon, but the video lacked focus. (no pun intended) It gave us more questions then answers, but I guess that was the way they wanted it.
Overall I thought this week definitely goes to WWE Monday Night Raw. Here is the plan for next weeks shows. TNA Impact are going one hour earlier with a Main Event of Mr. Anderson vs Kurt Angle in a ladder match. Over at WWE Raw you will see David Otunga guest host Raw and nothing else has been planned as of yet. Should be an interesting week.
